Garre Rug
Garre draws from the soft silhouettes of moss spreading across mountain stones and the faded patterns of lichen on old trees. Muted green shapes move quietly over a pale ground — a handwoven reflection of slow mountain walks, shifting light, and time etched into surface.
A Basny rug is hand-woven from sheep's wool in the Ukrainian Carpathians. Each piece moves through more than ten stages of making. The woven rug is then treated in cold mountain water — submerged in a wooden reservoir set in a mountain river, where a strong current runs through the fibers for up to eight hours, making them dense, tight, and durable.
Features 150×200 cm (4'11" × 6'7"). Because of the artisanal methods used in making, small twigs and leaves might get caught in the fibers. Variations in size and colour reflect the hand-dyed and handcrafted process. As each rug is made to order, it is non-returnable.
