WeiRan is a fashion designer based in Shanghai. She founded her namesake label, weiræn, shortly after graduating from the Parsons Fashion Design and Society MFA program in 2022. The label merges experimental, innovative techniques and traditional hand craftsmanship to subvert conventional practice and regular objects in the world of fashion design. Through a cross-disciplinary approach and textile experiments, weiræn stands for the creation of a new visual language blurring the boundaries between physical and virtual.

WeiRan is one of the artists invited to collaborate with Nick Knight’s SHOWstudio on his first NFT project, ikon-1. Her works have appeared on Dazed, Numero, Paper, V Magazine, as well as dressed by artists including Devon Lee Carlson, LORDE, Haile Bailey and Julia Fox etc.
