atéliea is an independent jewelry brand based in Athens, Greece, inspired by organic nature and the underwater world. Drawing its name from the Greek word "ἀτέλεια" (pronounced /aˈte.li.a/) meaning imperfection, the label is the artistic vision of Yana Blachman, a self-taught metalsmith that explores the limitless possibilities of metal in jewelry creation.
Each piece is sculpted using techniques like lost-wax casting, silver clay, and classic metalsmithing into freeform designs. These forms transcend traditional boundaries, fusing fluid, unconventional shapes with the rigorous principles of metalsmithing to achieve a balanced imperfection.
