Ruth Neubauer is a self-taught artist and shoemaker originally from Louisville, Kentucky now living and creating in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.

Her work uses traditional American and Scandinavian materials, as well as American post-consumer excess and waste.

The designer’s inspiration comes from growing up in flyover country, the fallout of capitalist globalism, and hope for a more balanced and kind future.
