The two-color abstraction mirrors a wintry night scene, where snow blankets the landscape beneath the moonlight. It could be a silhouette of an evening tree casting its shadow on the ground, a gentle dissolution of ice in a mountain stream, or a constellation shining vividly in the serene night sky.

A Basny rug is hand-woven from sheep's wool in the Ukrainian Carpathians. Each piece moves through more than ten stages of making. The woven rug is then treated in cold mountain water — submerged in a wooden reservoir set in a mountain river, where a strong current runs through the fibers for up to eight hours, making them dense, tight, and durable.

Features 150×200 cm (4'11" × 6'7"). Because of the artisanal methods used in making, small twigs and leaves might get caught in the fibers. Variations in size and colour reflect the hand-dyed and handcrafted process. As each rug is made to order, it is non-returnable.

Care Instructions: Like all natural fibres, Basny rugs ask for a certain attention — and with proper care, age beautifully. Vacuum the top of the rug at least once a week and the back every few weeks. Use a flat nozzle, not a rotating brush, to prevent damage. Some shedding is normal in the first weeks of use and will settle with time. The thick pile holds liquid on the surface, so blot spills right away with a paper towel or dry cloth. For spot cleaning, use mild soap and warm water with a soft-bristled brush. If a stain proves stubborn, contact a professional rug cleaner. Rotate the rug regularly if it receives direct sunlight. Use softening pads under furniture legs to prevent marking. Have your rug professionally cleaned once every 12–18 months to maintain its quality. When storing, fold the rug in half and roll it up, keeping it in a dry place. For extended storage, consider a natural insect repellent.
