Where does home really lie? Lorena Pipenco is a storyteller that narrates her families lived experiences of post-communist times and how it has played a big part in her identity as a designer. Living in London but ethnically Romanian, she taps into the immigrant struggle of identity, acceptance and community but uses Romanian cinematography from the 1970s and art to stimulate her collections as a form of inspiration and nostalgia. She uses her brand to tell those forgotten stories and hopes that people can feel the tension, sadness and love within her work as she navigates the complexities of cultural identity and memory.
